The book I’m looking the most forward to in this stack is Assistant to the Villain, because I loved, Loved, LOVED Hench and this is giving me the same delicious vibes. I adore stories where people are good at what they do, even if that means that they are very, very good at being very, very bad. I have high hopes for this one!

Your books look great. The Krentz and Shipman books caught my eye. I have to add those to my list. Have a great week!

I love the Jayneverse. This one is loosely connected to everything else, but the connection to the Arcane Society is so loose that you don’t have to have read everything to get into this subseries – at least based on the first book. I mostly love Shipman, every once in a while there’s a bit of a clunker but their first and most recent books were terrific!

Shady Hollow is really cute and really cozy but filled with a whole lot of commentary if one wants to dig, but is still just a lot of fun if one doesn’t. They haven’t all been great (I’ve read and reviewed them all so far) but they’ve all been fun. I’m surprised to see a new one but glad all the same.

I see some familiar authors. Every time I see Agatha Christie, I think of my grandmother. I used to get all the Christie books from her.

I got that one for the Christie references, because I’m damn curious. I usually avoid Patterson like the plague, but this one has possibilities. Or at least I hope it does!

I enjoyed the first Shady Hollow on audiobook. I’m planning to listen to the second one in the fall. Hercule Poirot is always fun. I just finished listening to Hercule Poirot’s Christmas and I enjoyed it. Have a great week. 🙂
