And May the 4th Be With You, as today is also Star Wars Day.

So there’s plenty to celebrate, not just today throughout the “Lusty Month of May” as the song from Camelot called it. Even if it is not yet beach weather where you are, there’s a lot to celebrate this month, from Cinco de Mayo tomorrow to Mothers’ Day next Sunday through Memorial Day at the end of the month.

It might even be beach weather by Memorial Day. Definitely something to look forward to!

  1. My favorite May celebration is the annual family barbecue that we do for Memorial Day

  3. I don’t have a favorite May celebration. I really have never given it a thought.

  6. The ‘May Long Weekend” (Victoria day in canada) is always the start of the ‘summer’ sort of activities here – like so drinks on a patio, a trip to the cabin, etc… But we never know what sort of weather will be thrown at us lol

  21. My first child was born in May. This year is extra special because he is born on May 14th and turns 18, which is also Mother’s Day. So my first born child will turn 18 on Mother’s Day this year. So very special 🙂

  33. Victoria Day here in Canada. (also known as the May 2-4 weekend). Big celebrations.

  35. Our daughter and son in law’s wedding anniversary in towards the end of the month, 7 years this year.

    We combine my Mother’s May 3rd birthday with Mother’s day for a great time.

  59. I like to watch Indycar racing so my favorite celebration in the month of May is the Indy 500.

  63. My favorite May celebration is when we open the pool and Memorial Day weekend because we usually have a cookout. When my girls were younger and in school, especially elementary school, my favorite May celebration was Memorial Day weekend because it was a countdown to school being out for the summer and we could sleep late and go on new adventures averyday.

  66. My aunt’s birthday is May 20. She raised me when I lost my parents. I was fortunate to learn so many things from her.

  70. My mama’s birthday would be my favorite. She would have been 75 on the 7th.
