Life’s a Beach Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Life’s a Beach Giveaway Hop, hosted by  The Mommy Island & The Kids Did It!

Last year’s hop image was a cat with sunglasses. We’d just gotten George, and he resembled the cat in the picture a bit. I was thinking that when he grew up he might look like the cat in the image – minus the shades, of course. George still has way too much big kitten energy to sit and pose with things on his face!

And now that George is full grown – or close to it – it’s easy to see from the pictures that he isn’t quite as pale and isn’t nearly as chill!

Speaking of chill, it’s a bit chilly outside here in Atlanta today (Monday, May 3). It’s also pouring rain and there’s a tornado watch. Not exactly a day for going to the beach.

Tuesday and Wednesday aren’t looking so hot either. C’est la vie.

So this isn’t exactly beach weather. It’s more like stay indoors and read weather, which is just fine with me!

    1. That is the beach I grew up with. So great when the college kids aren’t there!

  22. Las Caletas off the coast of Puerta Vallarta in Mexico. It is only accessible by boat and so amazing. Like Fantasy Island of t.v. fame.

  27. The Amalfi Coast in Italy. I was there one summer a couple of years ago and it is the best! 🙂

  29. I don’t have a favorite beach. I haven’t been to one in years. I prefer to be poolside.

  32. Virginia Beach, for sentimental reasons. But I’d love to one day get back to Maui and go to any of the beaches there.

  43. I’m a lake person, so my favorite beach is on Lake Michigan in Ludington, MI.

  70. My all-time favorite beach is on Cayman Island but I’ve only been there a couple of times. My next favorite beach is local to me: Ocean City, MD!

  71. When growing up, my favorite beach was Mentor Headlands State Park. We always had a picnic there and one time, I remember putting catsup on my hot dog, but it was a fruit drink. There were changing areas, a concession stand, a lighthouse and beach glass to collect. The sand was hot, so we wore sandals or ran fast and ignored the pain.

  77. I don’t live near any beach but I visited Ruby Beach, Olympic National Park on vacation and it was beautiful and serene.

  81. I’ve never been to an actual beach just lakes or creeks like buckeye lake or deer creek or places like that.

  88. Our fave walking (not swimming) beach is at Sturgeon Point Marina in Derby, NY. It’s a lovely and usually empty place to walk and collect stones. Thanks and God Bless!
