As I write this on Friday, the U.S. Presidential Election has turned into more schadenscrolling than doomscrolling. Still, we all want this to be over so we can get on with what happens next. Even if the next two months are likely to be chaotic. At least an end will be in sight.
But speaking of ends in sight, today’s kitty picture is from a few years ago. 12 years ago, to be precise. The cats pictured are Erasmus, the orange cat of little brain but much pencil stealing, and LaZorra the fox-bitch, queen of all she surveyed including Erasmus and most definitely us. They are perched on a CRT-style television as their humans watched the first Inauguration of President Obama. I miss all of it. I miss the joy and celebration. I also miss those two cats.
Now that it’s all over but the shouting – and even though there will be a LOT of shouting – maybe I can get back into reading again. The TBR piles are towering ever higher!
