I love the graphic for this hop! Our George is going to look a LOT like the cat in this picture when he grows up. Although probably not quite as fluffy.

All of our cats have hashtags. Lucifer is #TheCuddliestDemon, because he is. Hecate is #LittleGoddess for the derivation of her name. Also, yes, she rules. Freddie is #TheSilverStreak for his color. Galen was having a hard time coming up with a hashtag for George. He has no nickname, not even a diminutive. He’s too serious to be “Georgie”. But his serious and always concerned little face finally gave us a clue. Meet #SeriousGeorge.

All our cats are feeling good about their names. As is usual with cats, they don’t REALLY care what we call them as long as we call them for dinner! And breakfast! And especially cuddles!

As much as we love all of our cats, including the ones who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge, George seems to be just the clown we need to provide a add much needed laughter to these very strange days. His serious little face is definitely a source of joy.

  2. I lost my cat Hector about a year ago. He was a sweet ginger, so I referred to him as my PSL/pumpkin spice latte. In my current cat-less state, I’m getting a lot of vicarious enjoyment from the George pix. Thanks.

    A small puppy named Bissell from the rescue.
    A cat Helado.

  19. We have two dogs, Rocky and Jasmine. They have too many nicknames to even begin to list but my faves might be Rocky-Doodle and Jasmine-Noodle. Just kind of rolls off the tongue.

  23. We have 3 dogs: Miss Pickles, Django, and Fred.
    2 goats: Cheesecake and Buttermilk
    A rooster: Ludacris

  26. I had a rescue Maltese named Penny who passed away last fall after 10 years of unconditional love.

  27. We don’t have a pet at the moment, but we did have a house bunny named Bluebell, who made it to ten years old.

I have a very spoiled Cat that makes my day start off right each morning with his presence and love towards me and in turn I show him how much that I love him by not only scratching and petting him but giving him his favorite snack, I guess that you could say that he his my morning coffee as I the same to him as well.

  34. I do!!! I have two cats– “stepbrothers,” adopted separately. Their names are Sam and Henry. Sam has been very ill for going on three months now. We’re finally getting a ~liiiiiiittle~ bit of an idea of why he might be sick, but still really no idea. Ultimately, no matter what happens, it’s going to be absurdly expensive. …But Sam is my heart, and… well, you know. :/

  36. Yes. Ellie. She’s a 4 year old white boxer! 🙂 Her nickname is Elisabetta. My Italian Grandfather calls her that when he visits! LOL

  37. We gave 5 rescue cats & they are all part of the family.Their names are Daisy, Demon Bear, Aio & Tiny. Our 6th one, Dobby ,was hit by a car a couple of weeks ago & we are all so sad.

  43. We have dogs and no nicknames – but they tend to answer to more than just their names if food is involved – lol

  44. I used to have 5 cats, now left with one, adopted from the local shelter. I have like 100s of nicknames for him.

  48. We have 3 dogs and a cat, and they all have nicknames. Killer is buddy. Lilly is Lilly Bean. Chaos is Babies. yes plural, i dunno… And Charcoal is the cat.. She is usually referred to as CC.

  52. No pets right now. When I was growing up we had a cat named TV because she was in black and white (this was when TV was only in black and white) (long, long ago)

  54. Yes we have 6 cats plus 3 babies who are looking for furever homes. Yes my cats have nicknames like fat boy aka Shadow and fat girl aka Ms. Kitty but there is one I will not say on here but he’s a butthole.

  56. I have pet nieces and nephew dogs. Their names are Sadie, Skye, Piper, and Milo.

  58. OMG! how cute! I have two indoor cats and, hold on to your hat now! I’ve had an explosion of out door kittens and cats that live in my yard, are you ready? Eleven CATS!!! I’m going broke feeding them but I love them all. Thank you! And so many names, inside cats, Ridley and Lola Bear. Outside cats, Callie, Her 3 new kittens not named yet. Shadow, her kittens, Waffles and Pancake. Callie’s older kittens, Jinxy, Luna, Libby and Lotty.

  59. I have 3 grandpuppies. Mason a German Shepherd/Husky cross, R2D2 and BB8 who are Sheba Inu’s.

  60. Sadly, our last pet passed a couple of years ago. We have not yet adopted any new pets.

  61. I myself don’t have pets but my daughter is the babysitter for all her friends & she watches them at our place. So at any given week we have cats and/or dogs here. Names like Frankie Bastian, Bella and and Saber to name a few.

  65. I have a cat whose name is Jackie Waffles and we sometimes call him Jack or Jackson.

  66. I have a dog. He is a Chihuahua named Ice. He has so many nicknames I am surprised he still recognizes his real name!

  88. I have no pets.I would have to pay a higher rent to have a pet and I can’t afford one. I can’t take care of a pet so it’s better that I don’t have one. It wouldn’t be fair to the pet to not get them the care they need.

  93. We lost our beautiful Golden Retriever 3 1/2 years ago…..Her name was Madison….called her Maddie….and when she was in trouble she was lovingly known as Maddie The Baddie! Miss her so!

  95. We have a 125 gallon fish tank and we have fish and a red-eared slider named Bubbie. We rescued her and rehabbed her as she was in really bad shape. She’s a healthy active turtle now who loves the outdoors 🙂

  146. Yes! I have two cats: Oats aka Schmoats, Schmoots, Schmooties, etc. hahaha and Piggy aka Piggers, Piglet, Pigpig, Pig, Pigelina, etc. hahahahaha!
