Oops! The list embiggened again! I wish there was a phrase that was the reading equivalent of “my eyes were bigger than my stomach” or “my mouth wrote a check that my body can’t cash”. Because “so many books, so little time” doesn’t quite convey the bookish equivalent of either of those sayings. I picked up more books than I can read, because I just can’t seem to resist.
