Welcome to the Daddy Shark Giveaway Hop, hosted by Mama the Fox!

I have a feeling there’s a pun somewhere having to do with Dads and Sharks, but it really doesn’t matter. This hop, beginning just before Father’s Day, is clearly in celebration of Dads everywhere. And it seemed fitting to participate in this hop after participating in the Mother May I Giveaway Hop also organized by Mama the Fox last month, for, of course, Mother’s Day.

But this is for Father’s Day, a day to celebrate all the Dads out there, whether their children have two feet or four, or skin or fur or fangs or feathers. And all the adopted and step and honorary and every other kind.

The dads in your life probably aren’t sharks, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t scoop up something for them in this giveaway hop! I’m giving away the winner’s choice of either a $10 Amazon Gift Card or $10 in books from the Book Depository to one lucky winner on this hop. Whether the winner chooses to do something sensible or get themselves something for them or their dad to play with is entirely up to them!

  1. I love gifting my husband with homemade cards from the kids! He has kept every single one of them!

  4. My Dad absolutely hates yard work so I go over and mow the lawn and do all the weeding for Fathers Day and he loves it!

  9. I think one of the best gifts I’ve given to my father has been a watch. It looks similar to a watch his dad had, so I think that meant a lot to him.

  26. My father appreciated one year when my boyfriend (now husband ) and I took his mother out for dinner and spent time with my grandmother. She was a wonderful woman and my father was a wonderful man.

  40. I don’t know if this would be “my favorite” or “the best” gift/thing I’ve given to my dad for Father’s Day, but it stands out somehow– it’s a little kitschy, and not the kind of thing that I’d gift anyone these days, really. (It’s literally just gathering dust now.)
    It’s sort of like a snow-globe (without any kind of “snow”), with a golf tee in the center. There is a real golf ball inside, and it works like a game or “fidget”– the goal is to get the ball to land on the tee. It’s actually a pretty high-quality thingamajig, and my dad still has it high up on his old wooden entertainment center.

  47. I got my husband hot sauce that is in bottles shaped like hand grenades. He’s a vet, and he loves hot sauce, and the company sends money to charities for vets. A win for everyone!

  53. I am SO bad at thinking of something to get my dad, he’s impossible! This year I’m giving him a hot sauce set that he loves and and a disc golf tshirt.

  55. I once spent wayyyyy too much money getting my Dad a fancy watch. (He did wear it for years, though!)

  78. I can’r remember as it’s been 60 years of Father”s Days and the men in my life are down to a brother in law and a nephew. 🙁
