The weather outside may or may not be frightful, at least not yet, but the fire pictured in the graphic above certainly looks delightful. Even though both the tree and the pile of packages are much tidier and considerably less destroyed than they would be in my house. Hecate the cat is firmly of the opinion that all the things exist for her to play with!

While it may feel a bit too early to actually decorate for Xmas – after all it’s still two weeks – and a bit – before Thanksgiving, it’s never too early to start shopping for that perfect present. Unless you’re planning to leave coal in someone’s stocking. I’m pretty sure that’s available all year ’round!

  3. I guess we are because all my kids get excited about putting up Christmas decorations. They like every room a little decorated.

  5. I love Christmas decorations. It makes the house look wonderful. I’m sad when I take them down.

  8. I love holiday decorations. I make excuses about it, saying it’s because I have children, but I think it’s for myself!

  22. I love holiday decorations for Christmas. When my girls were small I went all out in decorating. Now they are grown and I still enjoy decorations but all I can think of is gosh I’m going to have to put all of this up after Christmas. I wish I didn’t think this way.

I tried to convince myself that I SHOULD do some decorating, but at the same time, it is literally the last thing I feel like doing. So, I shrugged my shoulders and decided that my life and my home would both be a little simpler without decorations.

  114. No, not so much, mainly cause I’m lazy but also because I just don’t think they’re very sustainable, but maybe eco decorations are cool. I like to view others work. Haha.

  122. I visit family during the holidays so I don’t really decorate my own apartment. I might hang up a stocking or Christmas cards but that’s all.

  124. I always have to have a tree, but am not too big on decorating the whole house, it takes so much work and then you just have to turn around and take them down in a couple weeks

  156. Depends on the year. Some years I decorate more, some less. My kids are all teens and adults now, so they get excited about decorations less.

  166. I love seeing all the decorations, but as for putting them up, that is a no. My mom was the one who did all of the decorations.

  167. We love to decorate our house, but we don’t go crazy anymore. We started celebrating at my grandma’s house to make things easier on her.

  180. I’d say we’re middle of the road with decorations…we decorate inside a bit, but don’t do any outside decorations as our house is not viewable from the road and is surrounded by woods. Thanks and God bless!
