The grid picture is my stack for this week. The picture below features the built-in bookshelves in my office in the new house. Aren’t they gorgeous? For anyone wondering, the shelves in my office contain our fiction collection up to the G’s, plus review books for my ALA committee. The rest of the alphabet, plus the nonfiction, will be housed upstairs in the spare room, the guest room and finish in Galen’s office. The frightening thing is that this is about half of what we moved to and from Alaska.
Notice that I am carefully not showing the other side of the room. That’s still box city. Someday we’ll be unpacked. Someday.
For Review:
The Alchemist’s Illusion (Accidental Alchemist #4) by Gigi Pandian
Asymmetry by Lisa Halliday
Consumed (Firefighters #1) by J.R. Ward
For the Sake of the Game edited by Laurie R. King and Leslie S. Klinger
Leadership: In Turbulent Times by Doris Kearns Goodwin
The Psychology of Time Travel by Kate Mascarenhas
A Spy in Exile by Jonathan de Shalit
The Verdun Affair by Nick Dybek
Your new office bookshelves look amazing, Marlene! Looks like you are already making great use of them. I love the look of your new books too. The Psychology of Time Travel is new to me, but sounds really good. I am curious about Consumed. I haven’t read anything by J.R. Ward yet, but I hope to one day. Have a great weekend!
Love your bookshelves, Marlene! I really do wish I had more space for books in my house and I am impressed by your organization. I think our wall of shelves is full of books placed rather randomly. Enjoy your new books!

Like your shelves. I had built in shelves put in my current house. Almost filled them up but now I have very few books to add as most of what I read are Ebooks.
Yikes! The Kindle version of For the Sake of the Game is $22.73. I feel a rant coming on…
On a happier note, your bookshelves look fantastic!
Wow! Your bookshelves are amazing. Do you arrange them alphabetically? Hmm, maybe I should try it. Half of my books are still in boxes too.
Unpacking the books supersedes anything else, LOL! Love the built-in bookcases. That’s very similar to what I want done in my basement when I do the reno. I want the cabinets underneath a bit larger to accommodate toys/games.
I want to read Consumed! Enjoy your week.
