It’s Labor Day weekend in the U.S. That means a three-day weekend for lots of people. Here in Atlanta, that means it’s also DragonCon weekend and Decatur Book Festival weekend. Lots of stuff to see and do. We’ll probably hit the Decatur Book Fair. When DragonCon crossed the 70K attendance line, it just got to be too big to cope with. Your mileage, in this case possibly literally, may vary.

I am too! I LOVED Goddess with a Blade, but I haven’t read all that many of her contemporaries. So we’ll see.

I hope you enjoy the Decatur Book Fair! It sounds like fun. I didn’t make it to L.A.’s book fair this past Spring, but I’m hoping I can talk my family into going next year. It’s been a while since we last were able to go.
Your new books all sound so good, Marlene! Dangerous Crossing and Highland Dragon Rebel particularly caught my eye. I am not familiar with either, but will definitely check them out.
Thank you for sharing (and hosting!). I hope you have a great week!
The DBF was fun as always! But I have a “coals to Newcastle” feeling looking at even the possibility of picking up yet more books.
I picked Dangerous Crossing just for the cover. it looks like a treat!

I hope you enjoyed the book fair. The LOC’s National Book Festival was this weekend. I really hated to miss it, but I just don’t have the stamina anymore.
Thanks for the heads up on Pets in Space and the new Wingate. I preordered both.
We went to the Decatur Book Festival because we don’t have the stamina for Dragoncon!
I loved the first Pets in Space and have high hopes for the second!

Christmas books are starting to creep into people’s lists… I love this time of year!
I think there should be a ten-yard penalty for “rushing the season”. But they’ll be fun when it gets a bit closer to time.

70k attendance line… wow.

When it got bigger than 50,000 humans, aliens and others we decided it was a bit too much for us. Atlanta is usually too hot on Labor Day to be crammed in with that many people going from venue to venue. But I miss going to cons and am looking forward to the next couple of Worldcons.

Hope you have fun at the book fairs! I’m jealous of the people that live in big cities that get to attend those!! Hiddensee sounds so good. I’m adding that one to my Wishlist!
Here’s my STS:

Hiddensee does look good. I’ve never read anything by Maguire before, but so many people love him that I’m really looking forward to it!

I haven’t read any of the authors you got books for, but I know my blog partner loves Isabel Cooper. I hope you enjoy it and all the others!
I reviewed Highland Dragon Warrior and liked it, so I have high hopes for this one. I agree with your blog partner – Isabel Cooper is awesome!
