I know it looks like I got nearly as much from the library as I received in review copies, but that’s a bit deceptive. The Neapolitan Novels were recommended to me last year, and when I saw that the library had the complete set (so far) in one ebook package, I decided to give them a try. When I’ll get around to giving them a try is an open question. But they were a packaged set.
My friend and fellow Book Pusher E and I both squeed in delight when Assassin Queen showed up on NetGalley, even without a cover. We both adored the first two books in the series, and can’t wait to start our joint review. I have very high hopes for this one.
And speaking of hopes, I’m still surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed the Midnight Texas series by Charlaine Harris. It isn’t Sookie (thank goodness) and it isn’t exactly original, but it is definitely fun. Certainly much more fun than Sookie was by the end.
For Review:
Assassin Queen (Majat Code #3) by Anna Kashina
Company Town by Madeline Ashby
The End of White Christian America by Robert P. Jones
Night Shift (Midnight, Texas #3) by Charlaine Harris
A Pledge of Passion (Rules of Engagement #2) by Victoria Vane
The Redemption of Julian Price by Victoria Vane
Purchased from Amazon:
A Breach of Promise (Rules of Engagement #1) by Victoria Vane
Borrowed from the Library:
My Brilliant Friend (Neapolitan Novels #1) by Elena Ferrante
The Story of a New Name (Neapolitan Novels #2) by Elena Ferrante
The Story of the Lost Child (Neapolitan Novels #4) by Elena Ferrante
Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay (Neapolitan Novels #3) by Elena Ferrante
I can’t wait to read Nightshift and see what happens next in this series. It is by far my favorite Harris series, even better than Sookie in my opinion. Great haul!
