The great thing about participating in two blog hops two Saturdays in a row is the amount of traffic that they generate–I hope some of the people who tuned in for the hops are sticking around to see what else is going on!
The bad thing is that my Stacking the Shelves post really stacks up!
And of course there were some events that added to the stack! This is my first Stacking the Shelves since ALA Midwinter, and I wasn’t totally able to resist the ARCs in the Exhibit Hall.
Closer to home, representatives from Random Penguin came to my library for a Book Buzz. That’s an event where the publishers bring ARCs to the library and talk up their books. They brought some terrific books, and I also got some ARCs from NetGalley and Edelweiss based on what they said.
Last but definitely not least, there is a new book bundler on the Interwebs; Bookbale. Their current bundle (good until the end of  February) is a science fiction bundle with 8 books for $10. I bought it for the Kristine Kathryn Rusch title, but several of the others look interesting as well. And the price is fantastic.

Since Dealing with Dragons was stunningly enjoyable, I requested Dancing With Dragons on NetGalley. To, you know, see if it’ll be as fun.
But Netgalley must have noticed my Anti-Romance stance and is hesitating to approve me. Bastards.
Ooh, that’s a lot of books. Enjoy!
My STS, if you’re interested.
Steve Bein’s Fated Blades series (Year of the Demon) is really good. I wasn’t sure about the time period and POV changes at first, but was won over by how well the characters are portrayed. It’s hard to pick a favorite from Mariko, Daigoro and Kaida.
I need a warning to tell me not to open one of your Stacking the Shelves post as my TBR pile will be in grave danger of growing much higher. This is one of those posts. Some I do already have or like Why Kings Confess I have on pre-order. I have Waiting on You, Touched by an Alien, The Martian, and Dancing with Dragons. I want The Clockwork Wolf, The Ophelia Prophecy, Ghost Seer, Night Owls, Death Defying and probably more. Oh well having too many books is not the worst thing that can happen. If it was I would already be in big trouble.
Great haul! Lots of amazing looking books. I wish we had people come to our library to do that, I would love it. I hope you enjoy all of your books 🙂 My STS.
Holy books batman! I don’t even know where to start. The night circus is one book that I have been kicking myself for not reading.
And I got fangirl for christmas and I still haven’t found time to read it.
Great books! O hope you enjoy them.
