Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!
Oh that sounds strange, doesn’t it?
Today is the second day of Reading Reality’s Blogo-Birthday celebration. This is, rather obviously, the birthday part.
(For a complete explanation of the Blogo-Birthday phenomenon, and to enter yesterday’s giveaways, click here)
It’s my birthday and I’m sharing the joy by giving away more books that I loved.
Victoria Vane’s Devil DeVere series (A Wild Night’s Bride, The Virgin Huntress, The Devil You Know, The Devil’s Match) has been absolutely oodles of fun to read. There have been moments when I have wanted to shake some of the characters until their teeth rattled, but that’s definitely been part of what has made this series such a blast! Her characters are ones that you want to talk back to. And sometimes choke. Or slap. That’s what made me list the Devil DeVere series as one of the Best Ebook Romances of 2012 in my annual wrap-up for Library Journal.
Victoria is letting me give a complete (as of now) seven-book set of the currently released titles in the Devil DeVere series to one lucky winner for my birthday. Someone is in for a real treat!
In addition, I will be giving away another Amazon gift card. Two more chances to win.
Can I throw a party or can I throw a party?
Here’s wishing you a very Happy Birthday! May your special day be one of happiness and wonderful surprises.
One of my best birthday moments was going to motown concert with my family. My cousin got to go on stage. Everything was awesome. And then when the concert was over, people were blocking the exits to get out and my aunt suggested we use another door to exit. Well we were surprised to walk into a Christmas back stage party happening. All the singers and band member were there! I took photos and got autographs. Took time to talk to my favorite singers. I didnt linger long though because I am sure everyone was wondering who I and my family were. I had never crashed a party before and I didnt want to get kicked out. But wow, it was a great birthday.
You can totally throw a party! LOL Happy birthday and congrats to you, once more. (I need to go figure out when I started my blog so I can have a party, too. LOL)
Birthday memory. When I was a little girl, we all put on our Sunday best for parties. I have LOL pictures of us all sitting on a blanket in our best clothes (taken before the cake). We also had to run the spanking gauntlet (where did that come from????). You had to go through one time for each year of your birthday. Seems pretty crazy now. LOL

Happy Birthday. When I was 13, I had a great birthday. I invited all my friends and we had a pool party . So fun!!
Happy Birthday! I don’t celebrate my birthdays anymore, I’m with my family that day, but I still remember when I got my first bike when I was little ๐ Great memory.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Marlene!!! I hope you are enjoying it! ;~)
My favorite birthday memory is the year that my now husband threw a party for me with our friends and family. He proposed in front of all of them! It was AMAZING!!!
Thank you for the giveaway and book recommendations.
Happy Blogoversary and Birthday Marlene!! ๐ Seriously, did you start your blog as some kind of birthday resolution/celebration? ๐ Here’s to many more years and entertaining posts!! Hope you had a lovely day (and a delicious cake as well ;-))
ps. as for ym best birthday memory? I have a few, but last year was pretty good. Most of my family and friends were away on holiday (my bday is August 20th), and I had no plans, just spending the day by myself, when my little sister came by with a surprise plan: she took me on a day trip to the beach, brought a picnic, champagne and delicious cake! We ate it on the shore and talked and soaked up the sun, was beautiful! ๐ Hope you had an equally wonderful day yourself today! ๐

Fun question!
When I turned 16, I had just moved away for university and was feeling very sad and homesick. On the morning of my birthday, I was surprised and so happy to see my siblings — who had all missed class and flown in — to greet me.
Made my day. ^_^

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!! To be honest don’t really have one. But at least none of them were bad! I do know that ๐
I don’t know…. I suppose it was my trip to Paris on my B-day ๐
Happy Blogo-bday, belatedly! Here’s to many more. Amazing and generous giveaway. The cover art is very striking.
Happy birthday!! Honestly, the best thing about my birthday every year is when it is over. Something always goes terribly wrong on my birthday every year!
Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a great one – and my best memory would have to be the year I went to Disneyland with my parents. I was pretty young at the time, but it’s still one of my favorite memories.

I loved going to the pier for my birthday one year–I live in Phoenix, so it was awesome to be able to spend my birthday in CA with my family there, at my favorite place: the beach! ๐
A party with my friends when I was little.
Happy Birthday!
A favorite birthday memory was last year seeing how excited my nieces get about birthdays.
